Hundred Islands – Governor’s Island
It was a beautiful sunny morning at the Vistas De Las Islas Hotel, quite a drastic change from the hellstorm the previous night. It was the perfect day to begin our adventure to Governor’s Island. It is approximately a 20 minute bangka ride to reach the first few islands.

We went fishing for an hour to soak in some sun and caught 10 fishes all together. Nothing like the anticipation and suspense in catching fish to start the day!
On the way to Governor’s Island, we passed many islets that were just hunks of rock with vegetation and no beach, this one happened to be Cathedral Cave.
We arrived at Governor’s Island around 9:00AM, it is one of the most developed islands at the Hundred Island’s as the Pinoy Big Brother Reality TV show house is built there and may be leased for PHP 10,000 per night with a maximum capacity of 10 people. This may be a good idea for those willing to go commando style but it is much more comfortable to stay at one of the many resorts in Lucap, Alaminos especially since Maxine by the Sea serves such amazing food.
At the main entrance to Governor’s Island are a few picnic table to relax at as this is the staging point for the 15 minute hike up the rocky hill. We had different stair counts on the way up, I counted 84 steps, while Aksana counted 90 steps. What was your count?
At the peak one will be treated to a majestic view of the Hundred Islands.
Governor’s Island also has a beach with calm waters, but we decided to swim on the next Island.
Our next post is on Quezon Island with a white sand swimming beach, please click here!
